Bentonite WA is Western Australian’s premier supplier of high quality Calcium Bentonite – they are 100% WA owned and operated.
Often called “The Miracle Clay”, Bentonite is a pure and natural organic product which can be used for a wide range of domestic home and garden and industrial applications.
Well regarded for its ability to retain water, it is often used in gardens to condition and improve the sandy soils in the West Australian Coastal Plain which have low levels of clay and other organic matter. Bentonite is the perfect soil wetter in this case – and because it is natural, you are not introducing foriegn chemicals or impurities to the soil – and there is no run-off into the water table.
Our Watheroo mine site in the Wheatbelt of Western Australia has large deposits of high grade Bentonite clays and our proximity to Perth and the South West means we can reliably supply bentonite to local householders, landscapers, horticulturalists industry and agriculture.
Also called smectite, saponite, montmorillonite, Bentonite Clays are a group of fine textured naturally occurring minerals. They are found associated with volcanic deposition or in sedimentary deposits. Our deposits are especially high quality and many times stronger than other bentonite products commonly sold.
We have a wide range of very specific qualities related to their fine micro-structure, ability to form stable colloidal suspensions and capacity to absorb and bond with a wide range of chemicals.
Used directly, or in combination with other products, bentonite clay has applications in a wide range of industries like Agriculture, Mining, Food Processing, Fabrication and even natural beauty treatments!
